Editing Projects
Version History
Track, browse, and restore previous versions of your VULK project.
Version History
VULK automatically saves a version of your project after each significant change — every generation, edit, and manual save creates a snapshot you can go back to.
How It Works
- Versions are created automatically after every AI generation or edit
- Each version captures the complete state of all project files
- You can browse, preview, and restore any previous version
- Restoring a version creates a new version (non-destructive)
Viewing Version History
- Click the clock icon (or Version History) in the editor top bar
- A timeline appears showing all saved versions
- Each entry shows:
- Timestamp
- Description of what changed (e.g., "Added contact form", "Changed header styling")
- Number of files affected
Previewing a Version
Click any version in the timeline to preview it. The preview panel shows that version's state without changing your current project. This lets you compare before deciding to restore.
Restoring a Version
- Select the version you want to restore
- Click Restore this version
- Your project files are updated to match that version
- A new version entry is created (so you can undo the restore if needed)
Restoring is always non-destructive — your current state becomes a version entry before the restore happens.
Version Limits
| Plan | Retention | Max Versions |
|---|---|---|
| Builder | 14 days | 25 per project |
| Pro | 30 days | 50 per project |
| Team | 30 days | 50 per project |
| Max | 60 days | 100 per project |
| Business | 90 days | Unlimited |
Tips
- Use descriptive prompts — they become the version description, making it easier to find specific states later
- Before major redesigns, check your current version number so you know where to go back to
- Version history works across sessions — you can close the project and restore versions days later
